Amazon Quits Publishing Big Online Games, Shuts Down New World

Amazon will stop running two large online games — Lost Ark and Throne and Liberty — in Western markets. Other companies take them over in 2026 and 2027. Amazon's own game, New World: Aeternum, closes on January 31, 2027. A separate Lord of the Rings game was cancelled in May 2026. Amazon now focuses on titles like Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.
