Palm Beach County Blocks 600MW AI Datacenter Near the Everglades
Palm Beach County commissioners rejected Project Tango, a proposed 600-megawatt hyperscale AI datacenter on 202 acres 16 miles west of Mar-a-Lago, near the Everglades' northern edge. At peak output it would have consumed power comparable to half a million homes. Federal and state governments have spent $6 billion restoring that ecosystem. The project manager says developers are "not giving up."
