
Palm Beach County Says No to Huge AI Datacenter Near the Everglades
Palm Beach County commissioners rejected a proposed AI datacenter — a giant warehouse of computers — on 202 acres 16 miles west of Mar-a-Lago, near the Everglades. At full power it would have used as much electricity as half a million homes. Governments have spent $6 billion restoring that ecosystem. The project manager says developers are "not giving up."
