Palm Beach County Rejects 600MW AI Datacenter Proposal Near the Everglades

Palm Beach County commissioners denied Project Tango, a proposed 600MW hyperscale AI datacenter on 202 acres 16 miles west of Mar-a-Lago near the Everglades' northern edge. At peak capacity, it would have drawn power comparable to half a million U.S. homes. Federal and state governments have spent a combined $6 billion restoring the ecosystem. The project manager says developers are "not giving up."
