Google Quick Share gains NFC tap-to-share on Pixel 6 and newer

Google's Quick Share will let supported Android devices swap files and contacts via NFC tap, starting August 12, 2026. The update replaces the earlier flow that required picking a recipient from a nearby-devices list. Pixel 6 and newer get it first; Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 follow soon.
