Police Commissioner says superintendent's role untenable after OIA records show no direct contact
Police Commissioner Richard Chambers says Superintendent Rakesh Naidoo's role is untenable. Police manual rules require officers of Naidoo's rank to tell the commissioner directly of any political intentions. Official Information Act records show no correspondence between the two. Naidoo's manager, Assistant Commissioner Tim Anderson, briefed Chambers by phone on 4 June. A police review is under way.
