Luxon survives leadership vote 27-22, but nearly half of caucus votes against him

Christopher Luxon survived a second confidence vote in his National Party leadership at a Wellington caucus meeting, roughly 27-22, several MPs told the New Zealand Herald. Nearly 45% of his own MPs voted against him four months out from the November 7 election. Luxon told reporters he had "the full support of a united caucus" and left without taking questions.
