Luxon survives second leadership vote, 27-22, with nearly half of caucus against him

Christopher Luxon survived a second confidence vote in his National Party leadership at a Wellington caucus meeting, with the vote approximately 27-22 in his favour, according to several MPs who spoke to the New Zealand Herald. Nearly 45% of his own MPs voted against him four months out from the November 7 general election. Luxon told reporters he had "the full support of a united caucus" and left without taking questions.
