Google CEO Sundar Pichai says the Gemini app has surpassed 1 billion monthly active users, making it Google's 14th product to reach that mark and its fastest-growing ever. The figure covers only the standalone app, excluding Search and Workspace integrations. ChatGPT reached the same milestone roughly two months earlier, in June 2026.
