Google's Gemini App Reaches 1 Billion Users

Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced the Gemini app now has over 1 billion people using it each month. It is the 14th Google product to hit that number and the company's fastest-growing product ever. The count covers only the separate Gemini app, not Google Search or other Google tools. Rival app ChatGPT reached 1 billion users about two months earlier, in June 2026.
