Eye implant that restores reading vision approved for sale in Europe

Science Corporation has won European approval to sell PRIMA, a tiny chip implanted in the eye that works with camera-equipped glasses to restore vision — including reading — to people blinded by advanced macular degeneration. It is the first device of its kind to receive this approval. The first surgery in Europe could happen as early as September 2026.
