Wreckage Found of 1952 Plane Crash That Led to Safety Talks Before Every Flight
The wreckage of a Pan Am plane that crashed off Puerto Rico in 1952 has been found after 74 years. All 69 people on board survived the crash itself, but 52 drowned while trying to escape in open water. Because of this disaster, airlines began requiring safety briefings before every flight — a rule still in place today worldwide.
