Wreckage of 1952 Pan Am Crash Found — the Disaster That Made Pre-Flight Safety Briefings Universal

The wreckage of Pan Am Flight 526A, the Clipper Endeavor, has been located 2,000 feet off Puerto Rico, 74 years after it crashed on April 11, 1952. All 69 aboard survived the impact, but 52 drowned during evacuation in open water. That catastrophe became the catalyst for mandatory pre-flight safety briefings on every commercial flight worldwide.
