Hottest June ever costs Europe €2 billion in grain

Western Europe's hottest June ever recorded has shrunk EU and UK grain harvests by 9 million tonnes — more than Austria, Ireland, and the Netherlands grow together. The research group ECIU values the lost grain at €2 billion. Trade group Coceral expects the smallest grain harvest since 2018, with France, Hungary, and Spain hit hardest.
