Substack adds tool to spot AI-written text

Substack launched a tool on July 21, 2026, that checks whether text was written by AI. Readers can scan any post or comment over 100 words by choosing "Scan for AI text" from the three-dot menu. It works on web and iOS; Android is coming "soon." CEO Chris Best called it a trust measure for readers and writers.
