U.S. Data Centers Could Use 20% of All Electricity by 2035, Says BloombergNEF

BloombergNEF reports that the massive computing facilities powering AI, cloud apps, and websites may use one-fifth of all U.S. electricity by 2035 — four times today's share. EPRI and S&P also raised their estimates. AI workloads drive nearly half the projected demand.
