£3.1bn deal for UK contractor Mitie may face government security check
OCS Group, owned by investment firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, has agreed to buy Mitie for £3.1bn — 44.7% above its share price. Mitie handles sensitive UK government work in defence, health, and immigration. The government can block takeovers that threaten national security, so this deal may face review. It is expected to complete by early 2027.
