Mitie's £3.1bn takeover may trigger UK national security review over government contracts
OCS Group, owned by private-equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, has agreed a £3.1bn takeover of Mitie at 221.6p per share — a 44.7% premium. Mitie holds sensitive UK government contracts across defence, health, and immigration. The deal may face review under the National Security and Investment Act, which lets ministers block acquisitions in sensitive sectors. Completion is expected in Q1 2027.
