Labour MP calls government's voting rule changes 'absolute bullshit'

Labour MP Damien O'Connor told reporters at Parliament on Tuesday that the government's changes to how people sign up to vote are "absolute bullshit" and part of "an evil agenda," RNZ reported. O'Connor, an MP since 1993, said the changes were "undermining basic democracy." A bill covering enrolment, prisoner voting and voting reforms had its first debate in Parliament.
