Archer and Anduril Unveil Thunder, a Self-Flying Hybrid Military Aircraft

Archer Aviation and Anduril unveiled Thunder at the Farnborough Airshow on July 20, 2026. Thunder is a self-flying aircraft that can carry out military strikes, deliver cargo, and support remote operations in harsh places. A gas engine powers a generator that runs electric motors, giving it more range than batteries alone could provide.
