Archer Aviation and Anduril unveiled Thunder at the Farnborough Airshow on July 20, 2026. Thunder is a fully autonomous hybrid-electric attack rotorcraft designed for military strikes, cargo shipment, and remote logistics in austere environments. It uses a series hybrid powertrain — an internal combustion engine driving a generator that feeds electric motors — extending range beyond what battery density alone allows.
