Hacker Shows How 11,000 Robotic Lawn Mowers Can Be Controlled Remotely

A security researcher demonstrated he could remotely control Yarbo's robotic lawn mowers from thousands of miles away. The mowers used the same, easily guessable password across all 11,000 devices worldwide. This allowed attackers to operate the machines, view their cameras, bypass safety features, and activate blades. Yarbo disabled remote access while fixing the problem.
