National won't agree to NZ First's $1 billion oil and gas plan

NZ First has proposed spending $1 billion to search for oil and gas underground. But National, a potential coalition partner, won't agree, saying only it already supports oil and gas exploration. Labour opposes it outright. NZ First leader Winston Peters called it a "game changer" that could happen "within six years".
