Almost Half of Republican Voters See Climate Change Making Heatwaves Worse

A July 2026 poll found 48% of Republican voters say climate change is making heatwaves worse — the top extreme-weather link among that group. Among all voters surveyed, 67% agreed. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse said the findings show "the public is way ahead of the politicians."
