France Held 440 Students in Protests Over Crowded Classes

France’s police held 440 people, mostly young people under 18, on Sept. 29 during high-school protests, Interior Minister Laurent Nunez told BFMTV. Two-thirds were kept at police stations for questioning. The protests started near Paris, in the Ile-de-France area, because classes were too crowded and schools lacked teachers.
