France detained 440 people, mostly minors, in high-school protests

French authorities detained 440 people, mostly minors, on Sept. 29 during high-school protests, Interior Minister Laurent Nunez told BFMTV. Two-thirds were placed in police custody. The protests started in Ile-de-France around Paris over overcrowded classes and teacher shortages.
