Leaving MP says pension age should rise to 68 by 2065
Outgoing National MP Andrew Bayly wants the age to get NZ superannuation to rise by one month each year from 2029, reaching 68 by 2065. He says this would shrink super's cost to about a quarter of tax revenue by then. National's own policy starts later, in 2044, reaching 67. A July poll found 58 percent of voters want the age kept at 65.
