Spanish microcar startup Liux admits it can't build a car using only European parts

Liux CEO Antonio Espinosa de los Monteros says "the idea of a European car does not exist," admitting that building a car entirely from European parts is impossible — the Liux Big's batteries are made outside Europe. The startup, which opened Spain's first new car plant in over 30 years, is betting on recyclable linen-based body panels and home solar charging to compete with cheap Chinese microcars.
