Spanish microcar startup Liux concedes European supply chain sovereignty is unattainable

Liux CEO Antonio Espinosa de los Monteros says "the idea of a European car does not exist," conceding a fully sovereign supply chain is unattainable — the Liux Big's batteries are manufactured outside Europe. The startup, which opened Spain's first new car plant in over 30 years, is positioning recyclable linen-based biocomposite bodywork and home solar charging as its edge against low-cost Chinese microcar rivals.
