Israeli Official Films Visit to Palestinian Women's Prison, Says Conditions Will Stay Harsh

Israel's top security official, Itamar Ben-Gvir, posted video of himself walking through a Palestinian women's prison area on August 30, 2026. A prisoner told him they had gone three days without showers or medical care. Ben-Gvir said he was in charge and would keep conditions as minimal as possible. Rights groups called the filming a form of bullying and an attack on the prisoners' dignity.
