Government watchdog chair who quit to run for NZ First in PM's seat

Craig Stobo quit as head of the Financial Markets Authority after a review found his public comments on the Treaty Principles Bill broke rules requiring officials to stay neutral. NZ First confirmed he will stand in Botany, the seat held by Prime Minister Christopher Luxon. Stobo said running would let him speak freely.
