Film Company Buys Rights to Festival Film "Filipiñana"

Kino Lorber, a film distributor, bought the rights to release "Filipiñana" in North America. The movie — director Rafael Manuel's first — is set at an exclusive Manila country club and was picked by both the 2026 Sundance and Berlin film festivals, a rare honor for a newcomer. Manuel spent about eight years on it. No release date yet.
