Kino Lorber Acquires North American Rights to Sundance-Berlin Selection "Filipiñana"

Kino Lorber has acquired North American distribution rights to "Filipiñana," the debut feature from director Rafael Manuel. The Filipino-language film, set at an elite Manila country club, was selected for both the 2026 Sundance and Berlin film festivals — a rare dual nod for a first-time filmmaker. Manuel spent roughly eight years developing the project. A release date has not been announced.
