Hugging Face is selling a $399 open-source robot you can teach new skills

Hugging Face opened pre-orders August 27 for the Microduck — a $399, 25-cm robot with 15 motors, a camera, distance sensors, and motion sensors. Its software and training tools are free on GitHub, so anyone can teach it new behaviors by rewarding correct actions in a computer simulation, then transferring those skills to the real robot. CEO Clem Delangue called it "an open-source robot you can teach new tricks." Shipping is promised before Christmas.
