Trade deal still possible but U.S. and Canada aren't talking

Federal minister Dominic LeBlanc says a Canada-U.S. trade deal remains possible after the U.S. said it won't challenge French-language and culture rules. But the U.S. trade official says the two countries aren't talking and warned Canada against planned tariffs in response. Heavy U.S. tariffs on about $28 billion worth of Canadian goods remain in place.
