Four killed when small plane crashes in Alaska

A small plane traveling from Anchorage to Seldovia crashed into a shallow waterway just after 1:15 p.m. on August 26, 2026, killing all four adults aboard. The wreckage sank in about 15 feet of water, and rescue teams waited for the tide to go out before recovering the bodies. A federal safety agency is investigating the cause.
