Four killed in small-plane crash near Seldovia, Alaska

A Piper PA-24 Comanche inbound from Anchorage to Seldovia crashed into the Seldovia Slough just after 1:15 p.m. on August 26, 2026, killing all four adults aboard. The wreckage sat submerged in roughly 15 feet of water; troopers waited for low tide to recover the bodies. The NTSB is investigating.
