Trial for 9/11 Planner Scheduled for 2028

A military judge set the trial of four men accused of planning the 9/11 attacks — including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed — for June 5, 2028. He rejected a request to start sooner, saying unresolved legal questions about evidence still need answers. The accused have been held at Guantanamo Bay prison since 2006.
