Iran and Oman to Clear Mines From Key Shipping Route

Iran and Oman agreed to clear mines from a temporary shipping lane through the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway carrying about a fifth of the world's oil and gas, Reuters reported August 25. Iran says reopening it also requires U.S. action, so the deal alone won't suffice.
