Self-Driving Taxis from Waymo Are Coming to Munich

Waymo, owned by Google's parent company, plans to launch self-driving taxis in Munich by late 2027 — its first service in continental Europe. German law already permits driverless cars. Waymo has no permits yet and will start slowly: mapping roads, testing with backup drivers, then going fully driverless.
