Waymo Targets Munich for Its First Robotaxi Service in Continental Europe

Waymo announced on August 25, 2026 that it plans to launch a fully autonomous ride-hailing service in Munich by late 2027 — the Alphabet company's first expansion into continental Europe. Germany's Level 4 autonomous driving legislation provides the regulatory framework.
