Claude now remembers you across its chatbot and desktop assistant

Anthropic has linked Claude's memory between its chatbot and Claude Cowork, a desktop assistant available on Mac and Windows since April 2026. Details Claude learns in chat carry over when Cowork handles tasks in the cloud, and anything Cowork picks up flows back to shared memory. Memory is turned on by default for all account types.
