Claude's memory now spans chat and Cowork agent sessions

Anthropic has unified Claude's memory across its chatbot and Claude Cowork, the computer-use agent generally available on macOS and Windows since April 2026. Context learned in chat is available to Cowork during cloud-based task execution, and what Cowork encounters feeds back into the shared memory store. Memory is enabled by default for all Free, Pro, and Max accounts.
