Court: eHarmony Tricked Customers with Hard-to-Cancel Subscriptions

An Australian court ruled eHarmony misled customers. The dating site advertised set-length subscriptions but secretly kept charging full price when they ended. The government's consumer watchdog brought the case in 2023, covering actions through July 2024. The court hasn't set penalties yet. eHarmony says it is reviewing the decision.
