New regional councillor for Wairarapa brings environmental background

John Hart has won a council seat for Wairarapa after the death of the previous councillor, Adrienne Staples. Hart spent two years helping local landowners look after rivers and farmland, and led a group advising Masterton on climate change. Council chair Daran Ponter said Hart brought wide experience working with communities and landowners across the region.
