US Attacks on Suspected Drug Boats Have Killed 223 People

The US military struck a boat it suspected of carrying drugs in the Pacific on August 23, 2026, killing two. These attacks have killed 223 people across 67 strikes since September 2025. The military has not shown proof the boats carried drugs. The Pentagon's watchdog is checking whether the military followed its own rules.
