Uber Fined €825 Million in Netherlands Over Automatic Driver Suspensions

Dutch regulators fined Uber €825M ($966M) for using computers to suspend drivers without enough human review — Europe's second-largest privacy penalty ever. Two earlier Dutch fines of €290M and €10M push Uber's total above €1.1 billion. Regulator Monique Verdier called the violations "serious." Uber will appeal.
