Humanoid Robot Cuts 100-Meter Sprint Time by Half in One Year

A humanoid robot called Tiangong Ultra ran 100 meters in 9.39 seconds at a Beijing competition — down from 21.5 seconds at the same event a year earlier. Human sprint records, by comparison, improve by tiny fractions of a second. A robot of the same model also ran 400 meters in 39.7 seconds, faster than any human has.
