Two Palestinians Killed in Separate West Bank Violence

On August 21, armed Israeli settlers — civilians who live in Palestinian territory — raided a village near Hebron, killing 17-year-old Karim Shalaldeh and wounding a 70-year-old man. Separately, Israeli soldiers shot dead retired Palestinian officer Fathi Khazem, 58, during a raid on his home in Jenin. The army said he tried to stab them. His body was not given back.
