UK court says many Albanian trafficking victims cannot be sent home

A UK court ruled the government can be stopped from deporting many young Albanian men who were trafficked. Judges cited high risk of being trafficked again, widespread corruption, and no shelters for adult men in Albania. The case involved a 21-year-old forced to grow cannabis. Albanians were a quarter of all UK deportations in the year to March 2026.
